Springing from the values of cooperation and collaboration between different bodies, the Tender Operations Group at the Tender Board formed a multi-party focus group to look at the workflow of procedures involving government tenders.
The focus group involved representatives of different entities, in addition to the Tender Board, which included: Electricity and Water Authority, Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Bahrain Airport Company and Bahrain International Circuit. The audience discussed the processes involved with government-related tendering practices and the major challenges facing their development, along with possible solutions to face these challenges.
This step comes as part of the Tender Board’s keenness to continuously develop its electronic services and ease its related procedures. The Tender Board has always been adamant to take into account the perspectives of different stakeholders, who remain important partners in achieving the national goals of strategic economic development.
For their part, the working team expressed their utmost gratitude to the concerned parties at the Tender Board for this gesture that would work to increase the productive collaboration between the different entities and increase the overall economic efficiency.
