The Bahrain Tender Board (BTB) has announced that 164,586 electronic notifications have been sent to suppliers and contractors since the launch of the first phase of its notification service last October, reflecting high levels of engagement and smooth communication that reinforce transparency and competitiveness in government tenders.
Of these, 123,420 notifications related to new tender launches, 38,055 served as reminders for suppliers to submit their bids before the deadline, 2,504 were sent after the opening of bids, and 607 followed the completion of bid evaluations.
Commenting on the achievement, His Excellency Mr Yaser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Chairman of the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB), said that the figures demonstrate the Board’s commitment to creating a more transparent and efficient procurement environment through the automation of processes and the provision of electronic services.
His Excellency Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB), underlined that the electronic tendering system positions the Kingdom of Bahrain as a regional leader in the adoption of best‑practice public procurement and supports wider participation by suppliers and contractors in government projects.
