As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting transparency, fairness and equal opportunities in government tender processes, the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB) has held a virtual workshop entitled “Suppliers and Contractors’ Rights”, attended by procurement specialists from privatesector companies as well as suppliers and contractors.

The event highlighted the legal frameworks and statutory timelines governing procurement in order to help participants submit higherquality bids and enhance efficiency in public spending.

His Excellency Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB), said that raising awareness and knowledge is the cornerstone of successful partnership, adding that such workshops foster greater efficiency in government spending and entrench the values of integrity, transparency and competitiveness throughout the procurement cycle.

Participants welcomed the Board’s initiative and the clarity it provided, while the Board announced that a similar workshop will be held in English on 19 June 2025 at 12:30 pm to ensure inclusivity for international suppliers and contractors.
