Tender Description

BAC through this RFP is seeking proposals from local prep kitchen partners to prepare food items according to agreed specifications and standards for the lounge kitchens’ different meals and services. Final touches and plating will be done in the lounge. The RFP lays down the terms and condition for the tender process. This RFP includes all the terms and conditions of the tender process and should be read carefully. The Bidders are expected to clearly meet all the requirements as specified in this RFP. This contract is for a term period of two (2) years.

Additional Notes

The Bidders shall meet the mandatory requirements below and as mentioned in BTB’s portal and the tender advertisement to qualify for the technical/financial evaluation.

Mandatory Requirements

1- The Bidder must provide a valid HACCP certificate or ISO 22000, the bidder must show proof for separate storing and preparation areas, must show proof of documentation within HACCP regulations or ISO 22000.

 

2- A site visit will be conducted to the bidder's facility, the bidder must confirm its readiness to accommodate the visit and provide necessary access to relevant areas, personnel, and documentation. Site visit evaluation sheet is attached in appendix 4

 

3- Bidder shall meet all the quality/   specification/quantity requirements for the list of items as listed in BOQ Excel sheet and any bidder that provides less than 95% (450 out 474) of the items will not be evaluated.

 

4- The bidder must confirm that they shall be responsible for delivery to BAC lounge’s store at the airside of Bahrain International Airport.

 

5- The bidder must confirm that they have taken into consideration all provisions to comply with all airside transportation regulations and still meet the quality and timeline KPIs as set by BAC.

 

6- The bidder must confirm that they have considered the cost associated with the security screening and passes that will be required for its employees to access the airside and should make itself aware of all prevalent rules and regulations relating to the same.

 

7- The Bidders must confirm that they will arrange for the driver and vehicle to have airport passes and airport driver’s licenses to access the super gate and deliver to the lounge’s store.

 

8- The bidder must confirm that they will be able to make minimum two deliveries per week to the BAC lounge's store at the airside of Bahrain International Airport. The delivery frequency may alter based on fluctuations in supply requirements for the lounge and our operational requirements.

 

9- The Bidders must confirm that the delivery truck will be registered and have a valid insurance coverage and equipped with a fire extinguisher.

المتطلبات الإلزامية


1- يجب على مقدم العرض تقديم شهادة HACCP سارية المفعول أو شهادة ISO 22000، وتقديم ما يثبت وجود مناطق تخزين وتحضير منفصلة، وتقديم ما يثبت الوثائق المتوافقة مع لوائح HACCP أو شهادة ISO 22000.


2- سيتم إجراء زيارة ميدانية لمنشأة مقدم العرض، ويجب على مقدم العرض تأكيد جاهزيتها لاستقبال الزيارة وتوفير الوصول اللازم إلى المناطق ذات الصلة والموظفين والوثائق. ورقة تقييم زيارة الموقع مرفقة في الملحق 4.


3- يجب على مقدم العرض استيفاء جميع متطلبات الجودة والمواصفات والكمية لقائمة الأصناف المدرجة في جدول جداول الكميات (إكسل)، ولن يتم تقييم أي صنف يقدم أقل من 95% (450 من 474).


4- يجب على مقدم العرض تأكيد مسؤوليته عن التسليم إلى متجر صالة مطار البحرين الدولي في ساحة المطار.


٥- على مقدم العرض تأكيد مراعاته لجميع الشروط اللازمة للامتثال لجميع لوائح النقل الجوي، والالتزام بمؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية للجودة والجدول الزمني التي وضعتها شركة مطار البحرين.


٦- على مقدم العرض تأكيد مراعاته لتكلفة الفحص الأمني وتصاريح المرور المطلوبة لموظفيه لدخول المطار، والإلمام بجميع القواعد واللوائح المعمول بها.


٧- على مقدمي العرض تأكيد التزامهم بتوفير تصاريح مرور ورخص قيادة للسائق والمركبة للدخول إلى البوابة الرئيسية وتسليمها إلى متجر الصالة.


٨- على مقدم العرض تأكيد قدرته على تسليم شحنتين على الأقل أسبوعيًا إلى متجر صالة شركة مطار البحرين في ساحة مطار البحرين الدولي. قد يتغير معدل التسليم بناءً على تقلبات متطلبات التوريد للصالة ومتطلباتنا التشغيلية.


٩- على مقدمي العرض تأكيد أن شاحنة التوصيل ستكون مسجلة ولديها تغطية تأمينية سارية ومجهزة بطفاية حريق.

تسعى شركة مطار البحرين للحصول على مقترحات من شركاء المطبخ الإعدادي المحليين لإعداد المواد الغذائية وفقا للمواصفات والمعايير المتفق عليها للوجبات والخدمات المختلفة لمطابخ صالة المطار. سيتم إجراء اللمسات النهائية والطلاء في الصالة. يحدد طلب تقديم العروض شروط وأحكام عملية المناقصة. يتضمن طلب تقديم العروض هذا جميع شروط وأحكام عملية المناقصة ويجب قراءتها بعناية.

How to Participate?

  • Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 31 July 2025
  • Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
  • For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
  • The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.
  • The bids deposit place: (As Mentioned in the Tender Documents)
  • This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
  • In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
    • Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
    • Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
  • This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
  • Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender. The certificate is awarded by Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism to the SMEs and can be obtained when applying on the SMEs Registration System which can be reached via the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
