The Contractor will propose a system for the continuous monitoring of cable external / internal activities using Single mode fiber optic cable G.652D type with 1550 nm wavelength in Electricity Transmission System. The Purpose of Distributed Acoustic Sensing System, including software, is to quickly pinpoint the exact cable fault locating if any vibration happens and to asses any external sources of danger to the cable system such as excavation or manual digging.
The tender shall cover the design, manufacture, testing, supply, delivery, site training of portable Distributed Acoustic System. The required DAS system offered shall be designed such as to follow FO cable service life of not less than 40 years, observing cable internal activities such as acoustic signal generated from thumping voltage for pinpointing and external activities such as un authorized excavation.
The DAS system should measure the acoustic vibrations on the fiber based on the principles of Coherent Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (C-OTDR).The instrument should send highly coherent laser pulses into the fiber, and the backscattered Rayleigh light should be detected and analyzed by the instrument.
It shall also fully satisfy the safety, health and environmental requirements enforced by the laws established in Bahrain and EWA requirements.

سوف يقترح المقاول نظاماً للمراقبة المستمرة لنشاطات الكابالت باستخدام كابل الألياف الضوئية أحادي النمط وذلك وفقا للتصميم المرفق في المواصفات.
تم تصميم الألياف لتعمل بطول موجي يبلغ 1550 نانومتر. الغرض من نظام الاستشعار الصوتي الموزع، بما في ذلك البرامج، هو تحديد موقع خطأ الكابل بدقة في حالة حدوث أي اهتزاز وتقييم أي مصادر خارجية للخطر على نظام الكابل مثل الحفر.
يجب أن يغطي العطاء التصميم والتصنيع واالختبار والتوريد والتسليم والتدريب في الموقع للنظام الصوتي الموزع المحمول.
يجب أن يتم تصميم النظام المطلوب المعروض بحيث يتبع عمر خدمة كابل الضوئي الذي لا يقل عن 40 عا ًما، مع مراقبة الأنشطة الداخلية للكابل مثلا الإشارة الصوتية المتولدة من الجهد الكهربي لتحديد اموقع الخطأ في الكابل الكهربائي والأنشطة الخارجية مثل الحفر غير المصرح به.
يجب أن يقوم النظام بقياس االهتزازات الصوتية على الألياف بنا ًء على مبادئ قياس انعكاسات المجال الزمني البصري المتماسك. يجب أن يرسل الجهاز نبضات ليزر عالية التماسك إلى األلياف، ويجب اكتشاف ضوء رايلي المتناثر وتحليله بواسطة الجهاز.
كما يجب أن تستوفي بشكل كامل متطلبات السلامة والصحة والبيئة التي تفرضها القوانين المعمول بها في البحرين ومتطلبات هيئة الكهرباء والماء
يجب أن تكون المواد المعروضة مؤهلة مسبقاً زمعتمدة ومثبتة مسبقاً في شبكة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ويجب أن تحتوي على تقرير اختبار نوع صالح ذي صلة بهذه المواصفات

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
The eligibility to participate in this tender is restricted to the following conditions and offers not meeting the following will be disqualified:
1. The supplier is required to provide valid type test report and certificate as per the relevant international standard demonstrating compatibility of the Distributed Acoustic Sensing Monitoring system with G.652D fiber optic cable OR willing to conduct Type test.
2. The supplier has to provide report such as case study or incident report for demonstrating global successful deployment of the DAS system in HV cable fault location and monitoring application
