Tender Description

This tender is issued for the replacement of defective solar system inverters at SEEF Elevated Storage Reservoir (ESR). The work includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of three (3) new inverters compatible with the existing solar photovoltaic (PV) system and with equal or higher specifications than the existing units. The contractor shall dismantle and safely remove the defective inverters, install the new units, complete all required electrical connections, configuration, and integration works, and restore the solar system to full operational capacity. All works shall comply with relevant IEC standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer recommendations. The contractor must provide qualified technicians, tools, equipment, and all required materials. Upon completion, testing and commissioning shall be conducted in the presence of the client’s representative, with submission of test reports, warranty certificates, and as-built documentation.

استبدال محّولات نظام الطاقة الشمسية المعطوبة في خزان المياه المرتفع في السيف توريد تركيب وتشغيل عدد 3

 تُطرح هذه المناقصة من أجل استبدال محوّلات نظام الطاقة الشمسية المعطوبة في خزان المياه المرتفع بمنطقة السيف (SEEF ESR) ، وتشمل الأعمال توريد وتركيب وتشغيل تجريي لعدد ثلاثة (3) محوّلات جديدة.  يشمل نطاق العمل فك وإزالة المحوّلات التالفة بشكل آمن، وتوريد محوّلات بديلة متوافقة ذات مواصفات فنية مماثلة أو أعلى، مع تنفيذ أعمال التركيب والتوصيل والتكامل الكامل مع نظام الطاقة الشمسية القائم.  ويتعين على المقاول التأكد من تنفيذ جميع الأعمال وفقًا للمعايير الدولية (IEC) ولوائح السلامة وتوصيات الشركة المصنّعة.  كما يجب على المقاول توفير الفنيين المؤهلين وجميع الأدوات والمواد اللازمة لضمان تنفيذ العمل بكفاءة وأمان. بعد الانتهاء من التركيب، يتوجب على المقاول إجراء اختبارات التشغيل التجريي بحضور ممثل الجهة المالكة، وتقديم تقارير الاختبار وشهادات الضمان والرسومات النهائية.(As-Built Drawings)  الهدف الأساسي من هذه المناقصة هو استعادة الأداء الأمثل والاعتمادية لنظام الطاقة الشمسية في خزان السيف المرتفع، بما يضمن استمرار توليد الطاقة المتجددة بكفاءة عالية وتقليل فترات التوقف والصيانة.

Mandatory Requirement

Mandatory Site Visit: A site visit will be conducted during the tender period to ensure bidders verify logic programming, integration needs, and accessibility. Attendance is compulsory to fully understand the scope and site conditions before submitting an offer. 

How to Participate?

  • Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Monday, 18 May 2026
  • Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-.
  • For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to attach the initial bond as stated above and it must be included within the technical bid.
  • The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Bank Transfer (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.
  • If the bidder chooses to submit the initial bond in the form of a Bank transfer, the guarantee amount must be provided as a fixed amount mentioned and not as a percentage of the bid value.

  • In addition, the following shall be considered:
    • Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
    • Enclose copy of a valid Bahrainisation Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labour.
  • This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage when participating in tenders, and in auctions related to service facilities within government entities premises, however this shall not apply to tenders of a special nature. SMEs bidders shall submit along with their bids the valid SMEs Certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which can be obtained through the following link (https://www.moic.gov.bh/index.php/en/sme_services)
