Tender Description
The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication MTT proposes to develop an efficient public transport service by the introducing a state-of the art Metro System which is fully automated, driverless and with modern technology following international standards. MTT plans to develop a 109km long Metro System in 4 phases. Bahrain Metro Phase One Project is comprising of two lines with a total length of 29 kilometers and 20 stations. MTT is looking to procure the project as an integrated PPP to be procured through a two stage process comprising of Pre Qualification followed by the main tender. In the first stage, MTT intends to prequalify suitably experienced and qualified companies with relevant expertise to design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer the project. The Applicant must submit a detailed Application by the PQA Submission Deadline. Based on the MERs and other considerations, Pre Qualified Applicants will be invited to participate in the next stage.
