BAPCO UPSTREAM W.L.L.(referred to herein as the Company or Bapco Upstream hereby solicits your application for the opportunity to provide PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR LIGHTING POLES to be used in the Lighting System. Lighting poles are structures used to support street lights, floodlights, fence lights, and other lighting fixtures to provide illumination in outdoor areas. Lighting poles will be spaced out appropriately between each other, to eliminate any dark spots in a particular area which require proper illumination. The type of Lighting Poles to be used in various Bapco Upstream WLL facilities includes, 3-meter Galvanized Steel Poles, 6-meter Galvanized Steel Poles, 10-meter Galvanized Steel Mid Hinged Poles and 20 to 30-meter High Mast Galvanized Steel Poles. Design, construction of Lighting Poles shall be as per the specification provided in Annexure 1 and 2 of Attachment 9 of the pre-qualification tender package. The prequalification tender package contains a total of 9 nos.,- Applicant (Manufacturer) has submitted the signed and stamped Datasheets/ Specification for Lighting Poles.
- Technical Deviations / alternatives (If any) have been submitted in Deviation List form attached in the prequalification package. Other deviation formats or deviations mentioned elsewhere will not be accepted. If deviations exist, Applicant (Manufacturer) has submitted Technical Deviations / alternatives have been submitted along with justification.
If no deviations, Applicant (Manufacturer) has submitted deviation list mentioning "NO DEVIATION".
- Applicant (Manufacturer) has provided the proof of evidence of manufacturer's previous experience (minimum 5 Years) for manufacture and supply of Lighting Poles as per Standard Specification for Lighting and Small Power System (TP-STD-00253-SPC-A4-1) attached in the prequalification package. Applicant (Manufacturer) to submit reference / experience list indicating purchaser / client, type, size, year of installations, location, environmental conditions similar to GCC, total years of experience and service.
- Applicant (Manufacturer) has confirmed that the Lighting Poles are suitable for installation in the environmental conditions mentioned in the specification - Site design conditions and Units of measurement (TP-GEN-00031-SPC-A4-1) attached in the pre-qualification package, and suitable to operate continuously under the outdoor design ambient temperature of 55OC and withstand wind velocity of 160km/hour without any degradation of performance. Applicant (Manufacturer) to indicate max. operating temperature. Confirmation should be supported by a specification sheet indicating allowable environmental conditions.
- Applicant (Manufacturer) is certified and operates an effective documented quality management system based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Applicant (Manufacturer) has submitted the valid Certificate as per the requirements.
- Applicant has submitted all required documentation specified in the Pre-qualification Submission Instruction document (refer to Attachment 2 to 5) along with the Prequalification application for Lighting Poles.
- Applicant (Manufacturer) has Authorized Distributor / Product Agent in Bahrain or GCC region. Appointing Agency letter shall be provided to confirm the same.
- Applicant (Manufacturer) has confirmed in writing that offered Lighting Pole models are not obsolete and the same will not become obsolete in the next 5 years. Applicant (Manufacturer) has confirmed in writing that offered Lighting Pole models are supported for minimum of 10 Years from date of commissioning or PO placement whichever is later.
