Tender Description

The design of the mechanical seal for the pumps installed in BAPCO Upstream oil field are double mechanical seal type due to presence of H2S. Between these two seals is pressurized a buffer liquid which would prevent H2S to come out if inboard mechanical seal failed, meanwhile the second mechanical seal, the outboard seal is holding the pressure. The pressure of the buffer or barrier fluid is higher as the pump discharge pressure, so in case of leak buffer fluid will act as a barrier to prevent pumping liquid contain H2S to come out. To pressurize the barrier fluid between the seal is used an external mobile pump. If the barrier fluid pressure starts decreasing due to inboard seal leak, it will be trigged an alarm to increase barrier fluid pressure. If not done, pump will trip, to avoid H2S gas to come outside pump seal chamber.

حالة فشل الختم الميكانيكي الداخلي، وفي الوقت نفسه، يحافظ الختم الميكانيكي الثاني، الختم الخارجي، على الضغط. 
يكون ضغط السائل العازل أو الحاجز أعلى مثل ضغط تفريغ المضخة، لذلك في حالة تسرب السائل العازل سيكون 
بمثابة حاجز لمنع ضخ السائل المحتوي على كبريتيد الهيدروجين من الخروج. للضغط على السائل الحاجز بين الختم يتم 
استخدام مضخة متنقلة خارجية. إذا بدأ ضغط سائل الحاجز في الانخفاض بسبب تسرب الختم الداخلي، 
فسيتم إطلاق إنذار لزيادة ضغط سائل الحاجز. إذا لم يتم ذلك، ستتعثر المضخة، لتجنب خروج غاز كبريتيد 
الهيدروجين (H2S) خارج غرفة ختم المضخة.

المعايير الإلزامية:

1. امتثال مقدم العرض للنطاق والمواصفات.

2. الشركة المصنعة المعتمدة للتطوير.

3. يتمتع المنتج المقترح من مقدم العرض بضمان لمدة سنة واحدة (1) على الأقل.

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Wednesday, 04 October 2023
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Small and Medium Enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender.
