The 10000151191 is related to procurement of repair kit and coupling for lube oil pumps installed on ZEROP skids and for complete pump and repair kit for lube oil pumps installed on CVR compressor skids, all being manufactured by IMO COLFAX.
The lube oil pumps installed on ZEROP skids had a minor repair kit which include mechanical seal, bearing and O rings. There is only one bearing installed at the drive end of main shaft; the other end of the shaft and other 2 driven shaft are floating in the oil without being supported by any bearing.
Lube oil is contaminated by solids and other liquids carry over by pumping lubricant; this cause at initial stage of oil contamination, the failure of mechanical seal due to abrasive contain of the oil. At later stage, when lubricant is losing properties, bearing will fail and the screws will come in contact, worn-out and finally got broken because the thin lubricant film between parts will be dilutes due to contamination.
