The purpose of this tender is to get the most completive offer for supply and installation of split industrial ac units at WTD stations, as per the set specifications, the tender scope of work and the stated general terms and condition given in the tender document.

الغرض من هذه المناقصة هو الحصول على العرض الأكثر شمولاً لتوريد وتركيب وحدات التكييف الصناعية المجزئة في محطات نقل المياه، وفقاً للمواصفات المحددة ، ونطاق عمل العطاء، والشروط والأحكام العامة المنصوص عليها في وثيقة المناقصة.

Mandatory Requirement

Bidders must abide by all the Mandatory Requirements mentioned in the below list that must be provided in the Air Conditioning Units, and in the event of non-compliance, the bid will be rejected.

1. Confirm that the cooling capacity of the units offered matches with the specification requirements.

2. Confirm that all the compressors for each unit will be heavy duty piston or scroll or rotary type (inverter).

3. For industrial Units Confirm that the unit will be provided with metal components for (Blower, Body, and fins).

4. Confirm that additional GI tray with the bottom of the tray insulated with Armaflex rubber insulation with separate drain will be provided.

5. Confirm that All the A/C units will be provided with copper coils and Aluminium fins.

6. Confirm that all coils, U Bends, welded tubes, headers & coil casing will be pre-coated with phenolic (Heresite) coating.

7. The Air-conditioning (A/C) units shall be pre-approved by Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Kingdom of Bahrain, and should have a minimum of Six (6) stars energy rating (EER not less than 11.5) . The refrigerant used shall be CFC free, environment friendly type (R410a, R407c).

8. Confirm that all the AC units are in compliance with the terms of guarantee mentioned in the specifications

9. The Tenderer must provide (highlight) in his tender catalogues showing all technical data, giving full information on the efficiency of the design, performance, capacities, dimensions, materials properties and all other pertinent information of units proposed by him.

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 17 March 2022
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender. The certificate is awarded by Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism to the SMEs and can be obtained when applying on the SMEs Registration System which can be reached via the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
