The scope of work comprises of the below services that are required in Bapco, during the Hub 1 T and I scheduled from August to October 2022 This will vary from 5 tankers per 12 hr shift during the start of T and I to 20 tankers per 12hour shift, which means that during the peak the contractor shall be capable of supplying 40 trips of water to the refinery The detailed scope is given below 1.1 Supply of Sweet water less than 30 ppm chloride TDS less than 30 ppm round the clock, for 60 days for various T and I activities 1.2 Supply of Sweet water and potable water round the clock, for 60 days for various T and I activities 1.3 Supply of standby of empty water tanker for collection and delivery of water from internal sources of Bapco standby awaiting equipment release

SCOPE OF WORK:

The scope of work comprises of the below services that are required in Bapco, during the Hub 1 T&I, scheduled from August to October 2022. This will vary from 5 tankers per 12 hr shift during the start of T&I to 20 tankers per 12-hour shift, which means that during the peak the contractor shall be capable of supplying 40 trips of water to the refinery. The detailed scope is given below:

1.1 Supply of Sweet water less than 30 ppm chloride (TDS less than 30 ppm), round the clock, for 60 days for various T&I activities

1.2 Supply of Sweet water / potable water, round the clock, for 60 days for various T&I activities

1.3 Supply of standby of empty water tanker for collection and delivery of water from internal sources of Bapco / standby awaiting equipment release.

MANDATORY EVALUATION CRITERIA:

The Biddershall have at least Five (5) years previous work experience in producingand supplying Low chloride water and drinking/potable water, supplyingwater in bulk quantities to major establishments in Bahrain like Industries,hospitals, government establishments etc.. Joint venture with an existingwell established facility is acceptable.
The Bidder shall have a minimumof 10 water tankers with minimum capacity of 5000 USG or above that arenot more than 10 years for transportation and delivery of drinking water.Separate water tankers with clear labels and certification shall beavailable for drinking water supply. The tankers shall have approval fromthe Ministry of Health.

The Bidder shall have ownfacility or have a Joint venture with an existing well establishedfacility for water treatment and shall be operational round the clock tomeet the T&I requirement.

The Water production unit shallhave industrial license and certification approved by Supreme Council ofEnvironment, Bahrain for production of drinking water.

The Water production unit shallhave an inhouse laboratory testing facility for testing the water quality,equipped with equipment and qualified staff.

The bidder shall have a minimumof 2 Supervisors, 1 Nebosh Level 3 qualified Safety officer 10 Heavydrivers who can drive the water tankers.

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 28 July 2022
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender.
