Tender Description

Gulf Air seeks to establish a contract for the supply of premium-quality tea and coffee products to support its inflight catering operations. The procured tea & coffee products shall be served to Economy and Falcon Gold cabin passengers. Bidders shall be capable of providing products that consistently meet high standards of quality, taste and aroma.

The Opportunity

Mandatory Requirements

The Bidders shall meet the mandatory requirements below to qualify for the technical/financial evaluation:

1. Sample submission: Samples of each proposed option shall be delivered directly to the Procurement Department at Gulf Air Headquarters before the RFP closing date. Bids submitted without samples shall be disqualified.

2. Compliance with specifications: Samples shall comply with the scope of Supply and technical specifications under Section 2.3. A tolerance of ±10% shall apply only where expressly specified. Non-compliant samples shall result in disqualification of the relevant option.

3. Delivery point: Supplier must mention delivery point. Suppliers who do not comply with the delivery mode/point below will be disqualified:

· Local suppliers to deliver directly to Gulf Air Store.

· Ex-Works offers shall be disqualified.

تسعى طيران الخليج إلى إبرام عقد لتوريد منتجات الشاي والقهوة عالية الجودة لدعم عمليات التموين الجوي على متن رحلاتها. سيتم تقديم منتجات الشاي والقهوة الموردة إلى مسافري الدرجة السياحية ودرجة فالكون الذهبية. ويجب أن يكون مقدمو العطاءات قادرين على توفير منتجات باستمرار بأعلى معايير الجودة والمذاق والرائحة.

المتطلبات الإلزامية

يجب على مقدمي العطاءات استيفاء المتطلبات الإلزامية التالية للتأهل للتقييم الفني والمالي:

1. تقديم العينات
يجب تسليم عينات من كل خيار مقترح مباشرة إلى إدارة المشتريات بمقر طيران الخليج قبل تاريخ إقفال طلب تقديم العروض وسيتم استبعاد أي عرض يتم تقديمه دون تسليم العينات المطلوبة.

2. الالتزام بالمواصفات
يجب أن تتوافق العينات المقدمة مع نطاق التوريد والمواصفات الفنية الواردة في القسم (2.3). ويُسمح بهامش تفاوت قدره ±10% فقط في الحالات التي يتم النص عليها صراحةً. وستؤدي العينات غير المتوافقة إلى استبعاد الخيار ذي الصلة.

3. نقطة التسليم
يجب على المورد تحديد نقطة التسليم بوضوح. وسيتم استبعاد الموردين الذين لا يلتزمون بطريقة أو نقطة التسليم الموضحة أدناه:

* يتعين على الموردين المحليين التسليم مباشرة إلى مستودع طيران الخليج.

سيتم استبعاد العروض المقدمة على أساس التسليم من المصنع. *

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Sunday, 25 October 2026
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-.
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to attach the initial bond as stated above and it must be included within the technical bid.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Bank Transfer (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.
If the bidder chooses to submit the initial bond in the form of a Bank transfer, the guarantee amount must be provided as a fixed amount mentioned and not as a percentage of the bid value.
The bids deposit place: (As Mentioned in the Tender Documents)
In addition, the following shall be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid Bahrainisation Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage when participating in tenders, and in auctions related to service facilities within government entities premises, however this shall not apply to tenders of a special nature. SMEs bidders shall submit along with their bids the valid SMEs Certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which can be obtained through the following link (https://www.moic.gov.bh/index.php/en/sme_services)
