Tender Description

This project consists of constructing a new Service Station (petrol station) located at Diyar Al Muharraq in Kingdom of Bahrain. The service station project will include sales offices, C-store building, Drive thru QSR, Coffee Shop, Commercial Shops, Car Care & car wash, Dispenser shed (canopy) and services facilities along with construction of boundary wall, car parking, external works and underground services including fuel tanks. The contract duration shall be for 7 months. The contractor whom going to participate shall be grade B (or above) registered from Ministry of Works as a building contractor.

Tender Description:

يتكون هذا المشروع من بناء محطة خدمة جديدة (محطة بنزين) تقع في منطقة ديار المحرق مملكة البحرين. وسيشمل مشروع بناء محطة الخدمة مكتب مبيعات، ومبنى سوبر ماركت (برادة)، متجر لمطعم خدمة سريعة، ومقهى، ومحلات تجارية، ورعاية السيارات وغسيل السيارات، ومظلة للمضخات ومرافق الخدمات وبناء الجدار للمحطة، ومواقف السيارات، والأعمال الخارجية والخدمات تحت الأرض بما في ذلك خزانات الوقود. مدة العقد 7 أشهر. ويشترط على المقاول الذي سيشارك من الدرجة (B) أو أعلى ويكون مسجلا من وزارة الأشغال كمقاول بناء.

MANDATORY CRITERIA

The bidder must meet all mandatory criteria in the public notice and advertisement.in the system and submit documentary evidence in support of each of the criteria listed below. The bidder who does not meet any one of these criteria will be disqualified and will not be considered for the award of the contract.

A. The bidder shall provide a copy of the MOW Grade certificate.

B. The grade required for this project is only Grade AA, A & B.

C. Bidders shall subcontract the fuel service station scope of work to a contractor with proven experience of 10 years.

D. Bidders (not the associate or the collaborator) shall have the required experience as a main contractor for building a service station.

E. Fuel system works must be executed by a specialized contractor approved to carry out such works from BAPCO with relevant previous experience. The contractor must obtain the company’s approval before the appointment of the specialized fuel system contractor.

F. Electrical & Mechanical works must be executed by an experienced contractor approved to carry out such works with petrol station relevant previous experience. The contractor must obtain the company’s approval before the appointment of an experienced Electrical & Mechanical contractor.

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Monday, 06 February 2023
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender. The certificate is awarded by Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism to the SMEs and can be obtained when applying on the SMEs Registration System which can be reached via the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
