BAPCO REFINING is seeking the interest of experienced manufacturers and suppliers for the supply of Refractory , Fire Proofing and Insulation to establish a reliable business relationship to fulfill the requirement of Bapco refining units.

MANDATORY CRITERIA
EXPERIENCE
1-The Applicant must have a minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in supplying different types of Refractory, and Insulation material for refineries, Oil & Gas or petrochemical companies. Documentary evidence shall be submitted in the form of Commercial Registration certificate, Company profile, copies of Purchase orders/agreements or reference letter from clients issued for such work executed previously etc., You may hide the confidential information in appropriate way. The applicant shall provide company list where they supplied items listed in this document in GCC for Refinery/ Gas plant/ Petroleum plant.
The applicant will be qualified for the kind of the Refractory, Fire Proofing and Insulation where they have provided evidence for the supply with minimum of 2 purchase orders in the last 5 years to GCC for Refinery/ Gas plant/ Petroleum plant
2-The Applicant shall submit documentary evidence to prove that they are regular manufacturer of each of the below commonly used Refractory, and Insulation material in Oil & Gas Industry. Documentary evidence can be any of Purchase order copies, Long Term Agreements or Audit reports.
The applicant will be qualified for the kind of the Refractory, and Insulation material where they have provided evidence for the supply with minimum of 2 purchase orders in the last 5 years to GCC for Refinery/ Gas plant/ Petroleum plant.
FINANCIAL RECORDS
3-The Applicant must have a sound and secure financial track record based on the audited financial results for the last three (3) years. The Applicant shall submit last three (3) years’ audited financial statements. Refer to the financial soundness evaluation following this table.
4-The Applicant shall have around 5000 sq ft covered storage area and shall submit documentary evidence that air conditioned storage facility can be provided in Bahrain for the storge of refractory materials, that are shipped for supplying to Bapco Refining. Memorandum of Understanding with another party in Bahrain who is capable of providing the storage area, is acceptable. The applicant shall submit a copy of the MOU as documentary evidence, to prove the claim
5-The applicant shall have an organized logistics department / memorandum of understanding with prominent freight and forwarding companies capable of handling transportation of refractory material around the world by land / sea / air, for meeting the supply requirement of Bapco refining. Documentary evidence shall be submit to substantiate the claim. Documentary evidence shall include copies of earlier refractory logistics handled, MoU copies, shipping documents, Airway bills etc.

ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY
6-The Applicant must have a well-established Safety Policy, Safety Plan and must be accredited with valid certification e.g. OHSAS-18001, ISO-45001 or equivalent. Documentary evidence shall be submitted to substantiate the above HSE Policy and Procedures relevant to all areas of the Applicant’s operations.
Accreditation certificates from certifying bodies (DNV, ABS, Lloyds or equivalent) shall be available with applicant.
QUALITY CONTROL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
7-The Applicant shall have material traceability, QA / QC Policy, storage, and shipping procedure in place. Documentary evidence shall be submitted to substantiate the above.
The Applicant must have a well-established Quality control system and must be accredited with valid certification e.g. ISO 9001 Certification or equivalent. Documentary evidence shall be submitted to substantiate the above.
