Tender Description

The purpose of this tender is to obtain the most competitive offer for Pest Control for all EWA Locations. Electricity Transmission and a few high-risk locations are to be serviced monthly while other locations are to be serviced quarterly.

تطلب هيئة الكهرباء والماء العطاءات لمكافحة الآفات لجميع مواقع الهيئة حيث تتطلب صيانة شهرية لمواقع نقل الكهرباء ومواقع أخرى عالية الخطورة بينما مواقع أخرى تتطلب صيانة ربع سنوية. الغرض من هذه المناقصة هو الحصول على العرض الأكثر تنافسية لمكافحة الآفات لجميع مواقع الهيئة مثل مواقع خدمة نقل الكهرباء وعدد قليل من المواقع عالية الخطورة شهريًا، بينما ستتم خدمة المواقع الأخرى كل ثلاثة أشهر

Mandatory Requirements:

1- Availability of NPMA Membership

2- Availability of BPCA Membership

3- Approvals from Regulatory Authorities in Bahrain & Internationally for Proposed Pesticides.

4- Project Manager - Minimum 8 years' experience with training on Pest Management and EHS requirements of Pest Management Valid international training and experience certificates shall be provided.

5- Supervisor shall have at least 5 years' experience with requisite training on Pest Management, Safety Procedures, Integrated Pest Management Development, and Implementation. Supervisors

shall demonstrate experience in Pest Control Management on large industrial projects.

6- Technicians shall be experienced and specifically trained on pest management in large industrial projects of similar nature. The training shall be according to international best practices. e.g.

NPMA requirements or equivalent. Technicians shall have a minimum of 3 years Pest Control experience on industrial projects.

7- All materials and equipment used shall be approved for use in Industrial Sites by relevant agencies in Kingdom of Bahrain. Relevant approvals for pesticides to be used shall be provided.

8- The company shall provide proof or obligation to provide a qualified entomologist (Minimum Bachelor Level Qualification in Entomology is required) in case required.

9- Company shall provide proof of adequate resources for executing

EWA project as per SOW - viz. Min. 4 technicians (2 technicians per team), 1 supervisor per team, I manager, I admin, 2 vehicles (pickup) and application equipment per team.

How to Participate?

Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 19 October 2023
Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
- Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
- Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
Small and Medium Enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender. The certificate is awarded by Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism to the SMEs and can be obtained when applying on the SMEs Registration System which can be reached via the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
