Existing South East wing to be demolished and new patient rooms, delivery rooms and wards to be newly constructed.. The existing buildings within the construction area will be safely demolished to make way for the new facility. This upgraded facility will support the Royal Intensive Care Unit and the planned Awali Hospital expansion project.

سيتم هدم الجناح الجنوبي الشرقي الحالي وإنشاء غرف جديدة للمرضى وغرف الولادة والأجنحة. وسيتم هدم المباني الحالية داخل منطقة البناء بأمان لإفساح المجال للمنشأة الجديدة.

ستدعم هذه المنشأة التي تمت تطويرها وحدة العناية المركزة الملكية ومشروع التوسعة المخطط له في مستشفى العوالي.

2.1MANDATORY CRITERIA
AWORKS EXPERIENCE:
BIDDERs must have  a minimum of 5 years of experience insuccessful execution of civil engineering and/or building project works(material procurement, manpower and equipment hire contracts/agreements areexcluded)  and BIDDERs must havecompleted at least one  project ofminimum value BHD 500,000.00 in Bahrain or any other Gulf/Middle Eastcountries in the last 5 years.

BIDDERs should provide with their bid response, for review by the Companyas part of the bid evaluation process, a proof of their previous experiencerelevant to the provision of the services that are required as specifiedherein, in the form of copies of Client letters of reference/ credentialsfrom Clients/ completion certificates issued by Clients, including contractstart and completion dates, contract and PO values, etc. The relevantsupporting documents submitted shall also include the current and validcontact information (address, contact numbers, contact emails etc.) forverification by Bapco. Non-submission of any of the information will resultin the disqualification of the bid.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT: 
BIDDERs should have and demonstrate thefollowing:
1) Fully auditable and active HSEPolicy, HSE Procedures relevant to onsite activities and Safety Training Planin operation within their organization 
2) Accreditation with acertificate for OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001, which are currently valid or in theprocess of re-validation. Documentary evidence should be submitted tosubstantiate the above and its validity, or other proof if the bidder is inthe process of revalidation.
CQUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT CERTIFICATIONS:                                                                            
TheContractor shall be accredited with formal certification for ISO 9001 and ISO14001, which is currently valid or in the process of re-validation.Documentary evidence shall be submitted to substantiate the above and itsvalidity, or other proof if the bidder is in the process of revalidation.

How to Participate?

  • Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 14 November 2024
  • Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
  • For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
  • The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.
  • The bids deposit place: (As Mentioned in the Tender Documents)
  • This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
  • In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
    • Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
    • Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
  • This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
  • Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender. The certificate is awarded by Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism to the SMEs and can be obtained when applying on the SMEs Registration System which can be reached via the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
